Leaf from a bald vine...finally!

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

I planted this bald vine from a hoya macrophylla because I just couldn't throw it away. This morning when I checked I was surprised with a leaf! I also potted two leaves from the plant that had fallen off, they are all now growing together, although the leaves will probably never grow a vine.

Blessings,
Awanda

Wonderful Awanda! Its so nice to see new growth, and that's especially good since it was bare to begin with! My plants are quite sure spring will be here soon. I even saw some teeny weeny flowers staring on a couple of hoyas this morning when I was watering! Winter blah's be gone!!!

Takes forever though doesn't it LOL, I have some new growth on my plants you sent cuttings of Awanda, they all are doing wonderfully, I truly didn't think I could root them, and I have a few other hoyas with new growth on them finally too.

With a bald vine or cutting...there is a 50/50 chance it will root without a leaf and become a healthy plant. I always take the risk on vines...but not with leaves!!! I don't have the patience!....

Awanda..you are the Queen of Macrophylla.....

Aloha
