A Hummie House!
Very cool site, Juli. Thanks!
Wellllll, certainly makes dandy sense to me !
I'll bet that such, is probably a wee breeze to duplicate and 'build' your own 'hanger'!
Jes gotta be !!
Thanks for sharing the info and the site with us Juli !

Oh, I want one too. Magpye's right. There doesn't look like there is much to constructing one yourself. Thanks for the link, Juli.
I thought it was pretty cool!

How cute! I am not sure my hummers would give up their big old tree though. Dec and Jan are breeding season for the Anna's so I am prolly too late anyway.
thanks juli for posting that link. very neat idea--never thought of a house for HBs! must do something about that before they get back up here!
I don't have them back up here either. San Diego is a long ways away from here and our climate is different. We actually get snow here. I have hopes that they'll be back soon. I've soaked all my feeders in bleach to clean them and I'll get them all refilled and put back out there probably today since we are under water here. Rain again today and no let up forcasted for a few days.

Stay dry, Julie. Don't forget to include Salvias and other plants that attract them buggars this spring.

Yepperdoodle! I already bought the red salvia seeds and I also bought scarlett nasturtium seeds. For my veggie garden I bought scarlett runner beans. So I'm preparing.

If you have a place for a mexican sage-it is a hummer magnet.
Keep checking the Butterfly and Hummwes Forum for ideas. There have been threads in the past on this subject. One started by monterrey (from California too) last year comes to mind.

My DH and my daughter both have seen a hummie but I haven't seen him yet. I think I'm gonna order one of these next week. I had to do a search to find this link again.
