When should I put out my first hummer food?

Springboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I live in a brand new development and this is my first early spring here. Chances seem pretty slim of attracting any hummingbirds in such a limited wildlife area, but I'll give it a shot. I've read before that hummers stick close to the first feeding sources they find each spring, is this true? Anyway, I'm wanting to get in there at the start :) When should I put out my first hummer food? Zone 6b, remember :)

Also, my DH's grandma and my DMom both have their feeders right at the kitchen window. Should I put mine there right away, or should I just try getting a hummer further back in the yard? I don't want to miss 'em :) Thanks!

OOOOPPPSS!!!! Never mind ;) I was silly for not taking a look at the forum before I posted. This topic has already been addressed just this week. Thanks, though:)

Take care,
Hugs
