Anyone have any info.or photos of "rosahberschaug" or "BIG"

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

I obtained cuttings from both of these brugs in a recent trade. I am unable to locate a photo or info. on rosahberschaug and can find a photo of Big, but no other info.
Can anyone help me or send me to where I might beable to get some help?
Thank you,
Margie

I've heard of the Rosenquartz ???? I wish I could help, but I'm afraid if it's not registered, I'm not finding this name. Here's a link to look for registered brugs. I hope that someone else will come along and help with more knowledge of these type names.

Scroll to the bottom, to the 'R's"

Rosa Überraschung is the one I think you are talking about. The link you posted is to the gallery, not to the registered brugs. There is a picture of Big on Monika's site. That's the best I can do.

where's the link to the registered brug list?

Rosa Überraschung is one of Dr. Preissels earlier B. suaveolens hybrids (from Glorias picture, there could also be a hint of B. insignis in the mix) , so it was made in Herrenhaüser Garten in Hanover, Germany. The name is in German, but will translate into english as Rose Surprise. I think, that it is a part of several later Brugmansia hybrids, but I think, that Monika is much better into that stuff, than I am at present time.

Big was hybridized by Rita Bunke, which Monika also know personally, so we will have to wait and see, if she log in later today.

thank you Gloria, Julie, Shirley and Tonny...the photos look beautiful!

Tonny...is the Rosauberashung of Glorias the same as the Rosa Überraschung and the rosahberschaug...that I asked about? The spellings are so close...is it translation that changes it or are they all the same brug and one is spelled wrong?

Looks like I will be looking at some very beautiful blooms this year!!!

Here is how Monika spelled it:

RosaUberraschung.

When it blooms, you have white/pale pink/dark pink all at the same time on the plant.

It does smell good!

Gloria...is sounds just beautiful !!! Have you any other photos of it in bloom...with more than one bloom? I would love to see it!

Sorry no, the only other pic I have has two pink blooms. I had too many others blooming at that sane time last year, thought nothing of it until later.

I had this one a good while backfrom Susie. I'm not sure what ever happened to it. I LOVE the way your flower looks Gloria. It reminds me of a ladies skirt flowing to the music! Very pretty.

Beautiful Gloria
