I'm so glad you posted this pic! I was suprised when I was looking for this and it didn't come up so I added it but didn't know what it looked like. I bought seed for it which is why I'm so interested.

I saw the photo and agreed with its common name "showy goldenrod." It indeed apears to be showy. I wish I had had a spot in my yard where I could grow some. Most of my garden areas are now too shady to be suitable for plants that require full sun. I hope when you plant the seeds that they happily sprout and growup to be beautiful plants that give you much enjoyment.

I've seen some of the wild golden rod around here growing in the shade. I could send you some seed of the showy if you'd like to try it.

Oh, no, I meant I could send you the showy goldenrod, not the wild. I bought the showy seed.

I could try to grow some in the partially shady area of my yard and see what happens. Thanks for the offer. I'll email you to provide my address and try to think of some seeds I have that I can send in trade from which you can choose.
