Strange stuff happens. Sometimes when you propagate a fantasy flower from leaf, they revert like this. These are the first blooms from a leaf cutting of Neptune's Jewels and I got two different flower colors on the same plant - on the same crown, no less. The white one is the true color. Notice the third flower stem is going to be purple too.
mutant!
That looks so neat. Luv both colors.

How very pretty!
Keyring,
From now on you are Ms. AV. That is a real beauty. Where did you get the double blosom avs?
The original (i.e, the whiter one) fantasy flower came from Robs Violet. The blue one - which I love, by the way - is a reversion. When you propagate AVs from leaf, this kind of thing sometimes happens. Apparently it is more common with fantasy blooms than with other kinds of flowers. I'm hoping I can isolate it and keep a blue one as a separate plant.
You know, I only grow a handful of AVs these days, and this is probably one of one or two or three standard sized ones I have left.
