I have 3 Trades of Black Valentine Bush Beans.
I must say..These are the BEST tasting grean bean I've ever had. The have a distinctive taste and different then any other bean I plant. They grow on Bushes and flower a pretty purple before the beans come. Pretty much pest free..They can be eaten dried (as for black bean soup), Fresh, Steamed, etc. But I usually throw a piece of Ham in the pot and slow cook! mmm mmm good! LOL LOL LOL

Ohhh Ursula thanks so much. I'm not sure...it's just one of those plants that attract my eyes. Also it's in the Papilionaceae and I find myself being very interested in the flowers of that plant family :-D

Kimmie, as long as I know, in 'natural medicine' Galega officinalis is used for nursing mothers (to produce good quality milk), but I do not know the dose.

Grilled Southwest Chicken with Black Bean Chili and Yellow Rice
Black Bean Chili:
3 cups cooked black beans
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons garlic, minced
3 tablespoons Jalapeno Chile pepper, chopped
2-3 cups chicken stock
3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon Southwestern Dry Spices
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1-1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste
1-1/2 teaspoons black pepper, to taste
3/4 cup cilantro, chopped
Sauté black beans, olive oil, and onions for 2 minutes.
Add garlic, jalapeno, chicken stock, lime juice, Southwestern Dry Spices, chili powder, and cumin. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 hour.
Add salt, pepper, and cilantro. Cook for about 5 minutes.
Grilled Chicken Meat:
Rub chicken with olive oil and dust with Southwestern Dry Spices. Grill over coals or blacken in skillet until done.
Yellow Rice:
Prepare one 6.3-ounce package of Saffron Yellow Flavored Rice Mix according to directions on the box.
Assembly:
Plate one cup of yellow rice. Top with Black Bean Chili and grilled chicken. Garnish with some cilantro and chopped fresh tomatoes.
