I know I suffer from lack of oxygen, and sometimes things may get confused; but your trade is on the way! At least I keep copies on my notepad 'Editor' now and I try to keep a pencil and paper back-up to recheck at the post office.

Eeeek! I have the devil of a time trying to figure out who some people are, and that's on trades - at least I can try to track back from what's in the package!

This is something that is a pet peve of mine and almost the reason I don't do open trades on Daves anymore. You recive envelopes with nothing but (if you are lucky) addressed label and a stamp. Nothing saying who they are, what there name on Daves is or what they were wanting. Guess they thought they were the only person you were trading with and that you only had that seed to trade.
Or you had super ESP and could read their mind through the paper.......
You end up spending lots of extra time looking up names on the Address forum and hope the names are there and if not the next best thing is just to take your best guess as to what they wanted, if you can't pull up the thread they responded to. This really gets confusing when you have several trades going at the same time and have 50 envelopes arrive at your door over a couple days time. Woe is me......need I say more about doing the paperwork on the end of the person requesting the seed.
Put your Name, Daves Name, what seed you wanted and include the address lable and correct postage. This will help us get your seed to you quickly and you will get the seed you wanted. Then maybe more of us will be happy to share seed more often.

Amen Dee! I am on the message board of my gardening club too, so I have the added headache of figuring out where to even look for the person- DG or NHGC. Can I add that it's the same thing if you order from someone's co-op!!! Put your real name and DG name on EVERYTHING. Your order, your payment and any email you send.
I can add a pet peeve too about GETTING seeds. When they are in homemade paper envelopes or regular envelopes! Ok, in and of itself, that is fine. But for goodness sake PLEASE tape the corner edges of the envelope! Especially if you are sending tiny seeds. In the case of homemade seed packs, which are very cute and I do make myself, utilize the little "fold ins" on the corners. Most patterns have that. Currently I have one bubble envelope with 5 EMPTY seed packets in it. All of the tiny seeds are mixed up in the bottom of the main envelope. So how am I supposed to plant those? My plan is to winter sow them all in a couple of separate containers and just grow out seedlings to see what is what. My "glass is half full" side is trying to see it as a fun surprise. Ha! :)

I think we put to much pressure on ourselves and others in trading. Accidents happen and I think most people don't set out to upset others.
