It is an epimedium...........I bet

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

My first thought was epimedium - but several folks have already said it - but the leaves are awfully wide...It's pretty, though.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

If spelling counts, PerennialGirl's outta luck!

Of course, I had to look it up, but it does appear you've got it nailed! Gorgeous!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Looks like epimedium, but I sure don't have any new growth on mine, just last years stuff that needs to be trimmed back. I was going to work a little out in the yard this afternoon, but it started snowing so I changed my mind. Donna

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Am I the only one that doesn't know what an Epimedium is?? Now I have to go do a search for them. I sure like that leave. I was going to say a begonia for sure. 2 summers ago I started to collect them.

I sure hope I hate Epimediums!!

Great crosses Kristi. I am dyinbg to know if Cream sickle throws huge doubles.

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, I just looked up "Epimedium" and it say's its a horny goat weed.....in that case I have no need for it, I have enough problems in controlling all my other weeds as it is ;)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Pam it is better to deal with weeds than horny goats ROFL!!!!!!!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL!!!

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

ROTF!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm sorry I didn't get back last night! We went to a Super Bowl party and didn't get home until late.

It is a Epimedium 'tag covered in snow' variety. LOL Perennial Girl wins! Now where in the heck do you live? Do I have to go to the post office to mail these or can I drop them in the mail box. Boy I'm starting to sound lazy, huh? :)

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Congrats Donna :)

Congrats Perennialgirl!
;-)

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Now anyone who doesn't grow these needs to rush out and buy a couple! They are the neatest little plants for shade or part shade. Kell- you just can't hate them.

I'm not sure about Creamsickle as the momma plant. Has anyone had success with it before?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Yeah..I won a contest!!! I live in Canada. I'm email you my address.
:) Donna

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Good job, Donna! Congrats!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Kristi: I have had success with Creamsickle as momma. Have a few seedlings growing now. Creamsickle x ?.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell, I'm really sorry but I am afraid you won't hate Epimediums. I have a catalog that is only Epimediums, I haven't gone to their email, but I am pretty sure they would have photos. I have a picture or two somewhere but right now I don't know where. Epimediums at Garden Vision --darrellpro@earthlink.net. They make a very nice ground cover. Onl y one problem to see the beauty of new leaves and the blooms, one needs to take clippers etc and clip off last years foliage.

Moonlighting where did you find that definition?????????????? There are no horns or stickers anywhere inthese little beauties. LOL Donna

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Way to Go, Donna! :D

Ladies you must remember there are times we may have a use for "Horney Goats" no matter what the speicies.............LOL. Sometime we might need something "good to cover the ground" .....this isnt a stinging nettle is it?????.......lol
