New subscriber from South Texas

Corpus Christi, TX(Zone 9a)

Hello everyone,

I am a new subscriber to DG as of 02/04/05. Have heard a lot of good things about this site and have already discovered some really helpful features such as Trade Tracker, etc. Currently am trying to "WS" a few items down here in zone 9a. Direct-sowed quite a few wildflowers in the fall and hope some of the seed the birds (red winged blackbird invasion) did not get will germinate. LOL! The birds showed up too late as I can already see some of the germinated Texas Bluebonnets and others showing green in the wildflower area.

We feed the birds so have doves, warblers, goldfinches, sparrows, a few grackles and robins, and even black bellied Whistler Ducks who come to our feeders and eat us out of house and home. When the blackbirds arrived late they just had to branch out into my garden...

Spring fever is beginning to hit already...Barb

Greetings from the tornado capital of America where we garden and hope a brisk wind doesn't snatch the plants up. :)

If you have any questions, just holler. Lots of folks here who just love to help out.

I'm a little envious of your zone. :)
