That is a beautiful salvia, garygardener. I see the hardiness zone is 9b & you are in Australia, so guess I can cross this one off my list. Sure do like it though.

yes it is lovely, probably could try it where u r Joseph, with some winter protection, thick straw over the base or branches such as pine with thick foliage?
Anything with a 2 in it sounds wayyyy too cold for man or salvia though!!
I'll get a closeup of the foliage, it is alovely dark green with a pebbly rough texture

Wow, what a delight to the eyes, even in the vegetative state! The leaf quality, combined with the tan stems...awesome! I need to find seeds of this one soon!
