this is a great recipe to get the benefits of broccoli and still enjoying it asa "pasta sauce"
1p ound broccoli crowns (no stems)
3 tbls olive oil
2 large garlic cloves
salt and freshly ground pepper
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/3 cup chicken stock to thin sauce if necessary
1 b dried ziti
1/2 cup grated cheese
first steam the broccoi. then saute in olive oil along with the garlic until the garlic is soft.
next toss it in a blender with pepper, a pinch of salt, the juice of half a lemon, more olive oil and serve it on the ziti with lots of cheese..
its a real easy sauce to make and no one will know whats being served.
