Where can this tree (plant) be purchased?
What kind of fruit does it produce?

Hanover Twp., PA(Zone 6a)

Try Heronswood catalog but it can cost up to $150 for a 4' tree. They produce tons of tiny purple/black fruits but the fruit does not produce variegated trees often.

mgarr:

Your last post's picture sure looks like a variegated dogwood, maybe Cornus alternifolia?

You are right. I clicked on the wrong picture. I wanted to post the winter habit of Aralia in the snow. Now I can't find it. How is Bernheim Forest? I miss walking among the trees.

Bernheim is still fabulous. It is in recovery this year from the diabolical 2007 Easter freeze, like most of KY.

I was just there the week before Christmas. It is just a shame that there is so little fruit in the holly collection this year.

I'm waiting for a nice sunny afternoon to go take some winter aspect images, so that when my new computer comes online at home, I'll be able to upload images faster than one every five minutes. Lousy squirrel-driven dialup...
