CLOSED: Has Anyone Ordered This Cauliflower

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Cauliflower
Orange F1 Cheddar

I would love to have some but don't want to pay for a whole pack. Has anyone ordered it that would like to share the cost with someone?

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Did you ever get these? They're on my want list too. Maybe we shold share our want lists since we both like the "strange and unusual"...?

Hermosa Beach, CA

Strange and unusual...you speak my language Janice ;).

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

I saw them for sale here: http://seedrack.com/02.html

Can't do them this year; I already have too much on my plate in gardening.

$ 4.28 per pkt. for 35 seeds!

Edited to point out:
85 seeds at $4.50 at Johnny's Selected Seeds: http://www.johnnyseeds.com/catalog/detailcat.html?source=e_caps_1104&edit_id=2342&cat_id=1&parent_id=1&topcatid=1&subcatid=17&topname=Vegetable%20Seeds&subname=Cauliflower&ct=comm&level=1&prodname=Cheddar%20(F1)

Waldrade - I hear ya! I can't wait to grow your wonderful seeds - Whoo-hoo!!!

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Diane,

If you do order some; I will share the cost for 1/2 for 1/2 the seeds.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

If we get them fron Johnny's we can split them 3 ways and still have lots each!

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

This is true Sequee.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Sound good to me. Who wants to order them?

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

I can't order online.

Squee? Can you?

Audubon, PA(Zone 6b)

You folks have struck upon something very practical and I think it merits a whole new FORUM for Dave's Garden-- "SEED & COST SHARING". Just a thought...

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

That is because we 3 know each other from trading and trust each other.

~* Robin

Audubon, PA(Zone 6b)

That's important!!!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

It is a nice thought cotton. I will order them and cotton if you want in on something from Johnny's let me know because I was going to order some lettuces. Nature and Sequee let me know if interested in anything else and I will get an order out today.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

This is the stuff that I am looking for. I intended to look everything up before sending you the list, to see who has what, etc., but I don't want to cut into your growing season. If you can wait until Monday to order, or wait until Monday for me to place the order, I will have my sh** in a stack! REALLY!

Rare Herbs - Culantro (not cilantro), Epagate, Papalo...also, Lovage, Flax

Greens - Joi Choi, Orach, Mei Qing Choi, Sorrel, Tatsoi, Savoy, Eder Kohrabi, Red Russian Kale, or Vitamin Green

Beans - Fava or Butter Bean

Beets - Other than red "Golden Beet"

Okra - dwarf or burgundy

Eggplant - Kermit, Fairy Tale, Calliope, or Comprido Verde

Chicory - Tauro or Bianca Riccia

Cucumbers - Socrates or Miniature Whites

Onions - Peal Drop, Purplette, Bianco DiMaggio, or Amethyst

Radishes - Cabernet, Easter Egg, Watermelon, D'Avignon, Nero Tondo, Pink Beauty, Rattail, Red Meat, Miyasige, White Icicle ot Daikon

Lettuce - mini only: Little Gem, Baby Bibb, Mini-Romaine

Chinese Cabbage - Rubicon or Minuet

Cauliflower - Veronica or Cheddar

LMK what you want to do. How fun to have a group "order", Wonder where Waldrake is? This would be right up her alley. I think I'll send her a note to "drop in". With 4 of us we'd still get a decent amount of seeds, at a VERY decent cost!

Should we close this off at 4?

makshi.......thanks for the offer to join, but I already have all the seed I need for this year.
Good luck with your sharing... Great idea!!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Yes, I think we should or it could get really confusing. I wish I had anything you want other than the chervil. I don't care who orders it. I will be glad to let you take care of it. I just need to know how much I need to pay. :)

I know I want the :

Cheddar Cauliflower
Some different types of salad greens and/or lettuce. I would be happy to go in on all of the greens and lettuce you want to order.

Let me know and yess where is the Nature and Wal

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Thanks for that link to the "Seed Rack" - I just saved it to my favorites - I'll browse through it later when I have more time.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Waldrade is not interested, so let's wait until we hear from NatueWalker. If you send me an e-mail with your REAL e-address, I'll e-mail a copy of the confirmation after I place the order, along with a tally sheet so you guys can double-check my math, re-splits, shipping, etc.!

What a nice way to be able to try some sdifferent things without purchasing a lifetime supply of seeds!

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Sequee,

I have lovage.

*******
Edited to say:

Went to the kitchen to....... test the germination rate of my Flax seeds.

I should know by tonight or tomorrow.

Box Springs, GA

Can anyone explain to me exactly what it is to "split" an order?I'd just like to know:)

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Several people get together, trust is important; and sends 1 person the money to cover their part of the order. It arrives at 1 location, is divided up and sent to the other parties involved in the order.

3 parties share one seeds packet, etc.

~* Robin

Edited to say, Sequee checking out the seeds you want to get.

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

Too late to share the yellow/cheesy cauliflower? I'll split the 85 seeds and my share of shipping. I too saw it, and thought about it, but not for all those seeds and too much $.

I've traded with you all.

Steve

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Well, we originally said 4 people, so you'd be #4! Is there anything else on the list you want in on? I'm going to outline the order tomorrow (they have several levels of orders/quantities, so I will check things out and see what's what. I think the Cauliflower was 85 seeds, so that shouldn't be a problem).

PLMK if there's anything else on this list you want in on before 2:00 pm tomorrow when I'm planning on placing the order.
