Lovely picture. It is nice to see how you under planted with the Lamium.
Is this hosta a good performer for you?
What is the small red flower in the picture?

Thanks Cindy, Yes, I bought the plant in 2002 and it's doing really great for me.

The small red flower is Fire Pink, Silene virginica which grows wild in our woods. It's one of my favorites as it's about the only red wildflower in the woods.

Wow, that is really pretty! I've never seen that flower before.
I have Last Dance on my wishlist, It is good to know of your positive experience.
Thanks!

You're gonna love Last Dance ! It's a sport of H. Summer Music, another really pretty hosta. Summer Music needs good morning sun so I made sure that Last Dance gets morning sun too. Also I noted that Last Dance was one to come up fairly late, not until March 29 (the late ones always worry me so I keep record now of them so I don't worry about them)

Here's a closeup of the Fire Pink.

That's a good idea to keep a record of when it comes up. Some of mine come up really late too. And my Rose of Sharon took so long to leaf out this past spring that I thought it was dead. I almost dug it out!
Are you posting pictures of the fire pink in the PF? It is so pretty!
