My patio plants suffer greatly in my home, even with indirect light. I experience a lot of leaf drop, even with sustained care. I wanted to uplight my 8' fig trees by placing three or more light fixtures beneath the plants. I have combed home improvement stores and hobby centers to no avail. Something freestanding, 8-10 inches tall, with a screw-in bulb fixture for a plant light, plug-in cord and black, white or metallic outer cylinder. Nothing fancy. PLEASE HELP
Help me find portable uplighting
okiedoe1,
Walmart sells the bases for those funny shaped "art bulbs". They are made by Sunbeam and costs less than $3.00. They can handle up to 25 watts. Then I buy the spiral shaped florescent tubes, the 25 watt ones. This works great for plants that need a little extra light. I use this for my Alocasias and they do great. Hope this helps. Here is a picture of what I am talking about.
