CLOSED: Wanted: All white showy annual flower

(Zone 7a)

I'm really on the hunt for an all white marigold. But any White showy annual will be fine. I'm putting together one of my showy garden ensembles...LOL I really need a fast, long flowering white.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

What about white pansies? Also, paludosum daisies. Alyssum? Petunia? White Nicandra? Nicotiana? White Brachycomb, white lobelia, White snapdragons?

(Zone 7a)

Who has white snapdragon???? LOL LOL

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

There is a cultivar named 'Royal Bride'. I ordered some, but they were pretty chinzy, so I'm thinking of ordering more. I'll look online.

(Zone 7a)

Ohhh Weezy I found some...Ordered you a pack too :-D

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

(Zone 7a)

Not sure if they are the Royal Bride...they say Tall - 3 feet (White) I'll send yours when they get here.

Kimmie, Argemone hunnemannii (Chilean Prickly Poppy) has showy white flowers (although pistils are yellow) and re-bloom the whole season IF you dead-head. The foliage is very interesting as well. Shall I send you seeds?

Hugs,

Ursula

(Zone 7a)

Hi Ursula! Does it flower lots?

(Zone 7a)

I had a really bad experience with Poppies and someone will have to tell me different to make me try again...LOL. I grew one last year...It only bloomed one flower at a time. Then it lasted a few hours...The petals blew away and a big Pod formed. I said I would never grow another..Was this just a bad experience?

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

Yes, it is said to bear an average of 8 flowers if you keep dead-heading, plant in full sun and do not over-water them.

I don't know how well this will do, I've grown other Paeony Flowered Poppies before; but not this white one. I just got the seeds this winter.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

The peachleaf bellflowers come in white and several shades of blue, form pale to dark. They put out copeous amounts of seed. The little carpathians turn into a mound of blooms and are quite showy, nice for the front of a bed or a rock garden or a container. They should both bloom for you in the second year.
