I am looking for some Tumeric seeds. There is someone who posted in our newspaper here, in La., who is wanting some of these seeds, and thought I would try and help them out by trying to find some for them. I have numerous seeds I could trade. Just let me know what you are looking for, or let me know what you would want in return for them. Thank you.

I've never seen seeds for this, so I was curious & looked it up in Plant Files. According to the info there, propagation is by dividing the tuberous rootball, no mention of from seed. So if it can be grown from seed, somebody needs to add that info to the database!
Also, I don't normally nitpick typos (make too many myself), but if you're searching for information you might want to know that it's spelled with another r -- "turmeric."
I noticed when I went to the store this evening that is was spelled with another "r". I never knew that.
I do now :o) Well, I guess this gal needs a plant then, huh? Have to see what I can do for her, if anything. Doesn't hurt to try :o) Thanks for the info.
