My little greenhouse in the basement

New Providence, NJ(Zone 6a)

I started to gardening last year. DH just build little greenhouse for my in the basement since I don't get too much light in the house. (Not sure if you consider as greenhouse.) It's a 4 level shelves, and he bought the light. Here it is. So far I am very happy with it. I put some seedlings there too.

Actually, I have one question, can you put the shade plants (like Mayapple, Julk in the pulpit, maidenhair fern) under the fluorescent light for 12 hours?

Looks good - nicer than my set-up this year. I'm sorry I don't know about the shadeplants - I'm guessing if they're under flourescents they might be ok, but you may want to wait for someone else's advice...

Depends on how strong your lights are.
I would set the shady plants to the side of the lights instead of directly under them and rotate them around each day so both sides get some light.
