Welcome from Iowa. I think we are all ready for the snow to melt and spring to arrive. Hope you enjoy your time in Daves Garden. It's sure a great place to roam around in during the snowy season.

That's for sure not much else to do in the snow but watch your snow garden grow and by the looks of all the snow in my yard it sure has grown in the last couple of weeks,
been feeding the birds, cause their are no worms or berries for them at this time of the year

Ours finally has melted down to where I can actually see the grass. We had a thick layer of ice under the snow. It sure did keep the ground from freezing though. Right now there is very little frost in the ground. No more than 4 inches. Ask me how I know....LOL! My whole yard is torn up to put in a new sewer system. Not a pretty sight. This is the back part of the back yard where our orchard is located. All the way to the house looks like this. About 300 ft. of mess. I can't imagine what spring is going to make all of this look like. I just hope grass will grow.

Welcome from the frozen and snowy side of Oregon (east). This is a great place to look around, learn, find new friends and even laugh a bit, well, quite a bit. Hope you join right in.

Glad to have you join our garden neighborhood here. You may find this place is addictive. :) You'll certainly learn a lot about plants and such, but you might find that what is best isn't the gardening information, but the people who make this site such a treasure.

I agree with Carla; the friendships are the best but the gardening help is great for someone like me. Welcome!
