Welcome! Sosha is beautiful... and so are your new garden areas!

If you get a chance, drop by the Mid-Atlantic Gardening forum... it's fun to have a local subset of the DG community!

This is a georgeous amaryllis. It looks like
Apple Blossom, only bigger. Luciee {;^)

Yep, it has even better substance than Apple Blossom, I think... and more color/veining, plus the edges are picotee, which really makes them stand out.

Hi! Glad to see this beautiful plant. It is now on my list to check and see if I can find it locally or if I need to find Amaryllis 'Supreme' on line.
I only have one Amaryllis that was given to me a long time ago. Actually I had almost forgotten about it. Something jogged my memory and I took and started watering it. Now it is shooting up like crazy and has several leaves on it already. I am sure in hopes that it will bloom for me at Christmas but if not, I will always think it should have, LOL!
Well, I am running out of steam so I guess I will have a little cup of warm goat milk and go to bed with an extra strength buffered aspirin. That seems to do the trick for the bad ache.
Have a great weekend.
hugs, Oma

Oh, I think I've wanted to try warm goat's milk since I read Heidi as a child. I love goat milk cheeses!

I think the amaryllis in the photo above is now among my "lost tag" ones, many of which became too small to bloom after a couple years of almost total neglect. (They are really really tough plants.) I've been fattening them up in the garden this summer, so hopefully I'll be able to identify 'Supreme' when it blooms. :-)
