Hello from Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia

Musquodoboit Harbour, NS(Zone 6b)

Thanks to Shannon for sending me to the Welcome Mat. DG is incredibly well organized and very user friendly. I can tell I'm going to like this.

Hello from snow swamped Nova Scotia. The last few days I've been snow shoeing over my garden beds ( they are burried so deep they'll never know I was there). I console myself with the idea that the snow is excellent insulation for some of my zone 7 and 8 plants that by all rights should not be in my zone 6 garden. I am totally committed to my acanthus hungaricus and not a day goes by that I don't think about it laying dormant under 3.5 feet of snow. Spring will tell the story and now I have a place to share it.

Looking forward to speaking with you via the forums.
For those that wonder at the pronunciation of my town...muskadobit will do. It is Mik'maq for "where the white water meets the sea".
Cheers, hypatia

Hi again hypatia! Glad you stopped in. I have a real good mental image of you snowshoeing over your garden - good insulation, good insulation, good insulation....lol. 3-1/2 feet of snow ?!? Wow. Hard to envision. I heard that in Charlottetown they can't even push the snow into the harbour anymore; the tides aren't clearing it away, so they have to pile it up in a park downtown.

Good weather to stay in and explore DG - happy surfing! :-)
