Unknown Plant, Want some?

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I was doing some cleaning around some roses today, and found oodles of these...I do not know what they are..anyone got any ideas? I potted up, about 10 of them, and there are a lot more...Now it is any ones guess as to what they can be...
Daisies?
Lemon Monarda?
and I have been messing with other seeds in that area of the yard...whatever it is, it is very hardy!

Might be some kind of daisy. I have a lot of them up already.

Did you plant some osterpermums.. African daisy? My baby plants look like that, but I am not a good IDer..lol.

if they need a home i can send postage. need plants to start over with and will be hapy to give homes.

Looks like it might be some sort of mum or maybe some coreopsis. Just a guess.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

It isn't African Daisies...it might be Coreopsis, I have some of those, and I know they spread like wildfire...
they are kind of cute..I was pulling them up, as weeds, until I noticed that they were probably a type of flower. There are lots of them, in almost every pot (and there are a lot of pots!)
I have enough of them for a few trades, I can send a 'mess' of them in a small priority box...you will be the test, imazidi, I will take some down to the post office to send to you, and see what it costs to ship them, and then I will put the same amount for the others...that way I will know how much postage to ask you to send me, for them...that sound okay?

cool.

Okay, sorry to have misspelled your name...

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

no biggy.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

I'd be careful y'all. I don't know what they are either, but they are all over my garden beds too, and I certainly didn't plant them. I pulled mine up. I've coddled along too many 5' tall weeds already in my days. lol

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I think they are Bachelor Buttons...you have the same thing, in your beds?

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

I have them, but I don't have bachelor buttons anywhere! I thought maybe they were reseeding from my salpiglossis, but I don't think so now. Have you posted this over in the id forum?

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

No I haven't...I am going to take some more pictures tomorrow...maybe they will look more like something identifiable by then...

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

they sort of look like blanket flower-gallardia(sp). but it's difficult for me to tell with the picture.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

not bachelor buttons could be gaillardia or coreopsis

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

it does look like gaillardia foliage, but I'm pretty sure that the leaves on blanket flower are bigger than this. Mine are only about 4-6" across the whole plant, kinda the size of a gazania. How 'bout yours melvatoo?

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I am not sure of the size. I had hoped to go out today and check them, but it is in the 40's with a stiff wind from the North...too cold!
I have mature Coreopsis, I bet that is what they are, but they are everywhere!

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Coreopsis doesn't explain mine at all! lol I guess we'll see when they flower. :) I've left 2 to live.
