I have some snapdragon seeds. They're all different colors and are from excellent plants. These guys grew from spring until into November. Let me know if you're interested :)

Howdy guys - I know this isn't the right place to ask, but I don't think brandnewgirl will mind me butting in. how tall do snaps usually get? I'm thinking about putting a row of them on my new 3-tiered planter, but I want to be sure they won't be too tall.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I think it depends on the type of snapdragons you get. The 'rocket' variety easily clears 2 feet while the bushier kinds tend to be around 8" tall and spread out more. Snapdragons are listed as "annuals", but in my zone, our winters are mild enought that I just trim them way down and up they come next year.

One more thing. The bushier variety tends to bloom around May, June while the 'rocket' variety blooms in July/August and longer, depending on which zone you're in. I continually deadheaded many of them to encourage more blooms. This worked well for the busher plants, but not so well for others. I let some go to seed and then harvested the seed when the characteristic tiny hole at the top of the pod opens.
