Yes it's true, my cembra's bloom finally opened this morning!! It also has two more flowas almost ready to open.

It's a Cembra bloom!!
Doesn't it smell heavenly?...Her daughter, H. cv. Iris Marie has the same kind of scent...really nice! I could smell those forever!!!
Oh yay! Something to look forward to! My Iris Marie is growing well, I look forward to "smelly-goodness"! Awanda....I see there is only one pic of a cembra bloom in the Plant Files....wanna add yours? BTW....thanks everyone for your additions to the Hoya section of Plant Files. I have many Hoya-babies and it will make ID-ing them so much easier when they (finally) bloom! :~D K
Very nice Awanda! If you're like me you looked at the buds at least 3 times a day. Seems to take forever for H. cembra's buds to open.
NB54, I was tempted to start sleeping in the greenhouse to make sure I didn't miss the flowa:-). I agree they take a loooooong time to open, but well worth the wait.
