Thankyou very much Ursula and Philomel. I have only just seen your best wishes as I have not been online much recently. Sadly my birthday was not the best as I have been quite poorly with pluerisy but your birthday greetings are much appreciated. Thankyou :)

Oh, so sorry to hear you've been unwell. Pleurisy is not to be taken lightly. You look after yourself!!
Hope you're soon fit and well!

Choose another day to celebrate your birthday ;)

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

Philomel is right, Psilo. Take good care of yourself and when you feel fine again, choose a beautiful day as your birthday.

So sorry to read you are ill. Please get well. I remember when my mom had pleurisy. She was really sore! Hope your case is not severe and you will be up and running in a jiffy.

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

yep jiffy sore is the word! I dont feel so ill in myself now but the pain is still quite bad which makes getting around still rather difficult. Thanks everyone! right now all I really need is some nice sunshine :)

happy birthday Psilo , your seeds are going well. I have had pluerisy, it takes a bit too get over.
Have you managed to collect your seeds ?

Happy birthday Psilo, sorry it's late....hope you're starting to get a bit better.

There's beautiful sunshine out there now, but it's cold! (well for here anyway ! ) The soft southies!!...LOL
But at least when the sun's shining ,it makes you feel that spring is around the corner, i've got a couple of daffs out already, and some little irises (those that I hadn't trodden on and broken)

Make certain that you look after yourself, and not be in too much of a rush to get back to working.

Psilo isn't very well Sue. She has just posted a message in Overthegardengate to say that she now has tonsillitis. Poor psilo! :(

Sure hope you get to feeling better soon!! This is a real bummer!

Psilo, maybe I should send you some of the wheat grass that my daughetr seems to be determined that I need!
As they've said, your immune system must be low, so you're vunerable to anything thats going. Maybe a boost of vitamins would help. it's miserable when you feel so rough. I hope that you soon start to feel as if you're on the road to recovery, and can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks guys. Today I have come downstairs and eaten something for the first time. My throat i think may be alittle better but now I have started coughing again and I can feel my pleurisy once again in my left lung :( what do I have to do to get rid of all this stuff!! Im just going round and round in circles.

Oh poor psilo! I wish I could make you better. Fresh fruit might buck up your immune system (and couldn't harm you). I found massage helpful for my sinusitis, but I'm not sure how well it would help for chest conditions.

Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

you need some echinacea, to boost your immune system, and drink lots, and lots of water.

My sister has just read this book, and rekons that 4 ltrs water a day cures all ills, including angina, asthma etc......how true this is, I'm not sure, but it can't harm.

hope you're starting to see an improvement ..thinking of you.

Hi I am very much improved now though the pain from my pleurisy does persist despite all the antibiotics I have taken. I am going back to work tomorrow so I shall have to see how it goes

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

Hello Psilo!

I'm very happy to hear you are doing better but PLEASE: take it easy.

Hugs,

Ursula

well ursual it never rains but it pours. I didnt get to go back to work. The pleurisy returned with a vengence along with the sore throat and I am still off work. Went to see doc yesterday who gave me yet another different lot of antibiotics to try. I am incredibly breathless and find walking very difficult. I hate been sick! :(

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

I know what you feel, believe me, but a little extra effort (staying at home and taking care of yourself) will give you the strength you will require for Spring gardening!

((((((Psilo))))))

Thankyou Ursula :)
