Lychee tree problems

Fort Myers, FL(Zone 10b)

During the hurricanes last summer, my newly planted lychee tree was surrounded with water for about 2 weeks (actually the whole house was surrounded by water for 2 weeks, but that's another story). I'm having 2 problems: the leaves have brown tips, including most (not all) of the new growth since August. Secondly. most of the leaves are blotchy light green/medium green, like the chlorophyll has leached out or something. My local nursery suggested 2 applications of micronutrients on the leaves and bark (which we did) and 2 sprayings below the tree of root starter (which we did). It didn't seem to help much. Is there anything I can do? Also, will the already-formed leaves ever turn dark green, or will I have to wait until new growth to eliminate the blotchiness.

Thanks.

My lychee nut trees have brown edges on the leaves and I believe it's from this crazy cold wind we've been having.
My be alittle bone meal or blood meal for greening?

PS- I lost the link to the FL roundup. Do you know it?

When we get the funny blotchy leaves, I sprinkle just a teas. of Calcium Nitrate around the tree...the rain will wash it in -doesn't get bound up in the top of the soil - and then the trees seem to absorb more nutrients.

Lychees are funny. They seem to have a set schedule of when to prune, when to fertilize etc. and if it isn't done at the right time....they go all wierd!!!

Thanks, Cyberageous and AlohaHoya. I'll try both of your suggestions (not together!).
