Hi I am lookingfor Datura Seeds in the Greater Vancouver area. Does anyone know where I might find some. Thanks
Datura Seeds
Hi, they quite easy to find in places like Gardenworks or a lot of other nurseries. I know that GW Burnaby carries them every year. You might give them a call and ask if they've got all their seed racks in yet.
Thanks Liz.
I had looked at the Gardenworks in Ocean PArk and they did not have any. Its probably a little early yet.
Did you all hear, Gardenworks bought out Mandeville???
Yes, unfortunately.
Oscar, I might have some extra to trade. What colors are you looking for?

I was looking for D. Metel. White, purple or yellow.
As for trades I'm not sure I've got anything worth trading. Being new to this site I did not save any seeds from last year. I have some Brug cuttings which are currently rooting. I'm not sure what type. I bought it at a garden sale a couple of years ago and didn't pay to much attention to its name. Flowers start pale yellow and turn pinky as they mature. I also have some baltic blue irises. I was given them from a neighbour who had them growing in her yard for the last 50 years. They are beautiful but not extraordinary, except their smell which is amazing.
Liz and Roselaine I had not heard that Mandevilles had been bought out. That is too bad they always seemed to have something new and unusual.
I will miss Mandeville. Actually I miss any nursery that is bought up by a network. All the Gardenworks have the same plants. Losing Mandeville means we lose a bit more variety.
How have yu been, Liz? Did the greenhouse hold up well during the freeze? Mine did ok...Funny, I was telling Dawn and Lana about the Thunbergia grandiflora "Blue Skies" the other day and mentioned how I waited all summer for it to bloom, and wouldn't you know, the crazy vine has been putting out for a month and a half now....surprise, surprise!
I'm OK Elaine. Waiting for spring like everyone else.
Gh is OK, it's more of a plant room than a gh. Glad to hear you Thunbergia is doing well. Mine are putting out the odd leaves but no blooms. What is taking over one side of the gh is the Vigna caracalla. It's wrapping itself from brug to brug.
Hey Liz does Vigna caracalla slip easily?
I don't know Pam, I guess I should try shouldn't I? I'll let you know.
Please do! ;)
Does anyone know where you can get seeds for the blue Thunbergia? I've only been able to find the salmon, red, white and yellow ones.
Oh, no wonder I couldn't find any. Okay, thanks Jeanne.
nightowl2 you can find the blue thunbergia seeds usually on ebay and the white ones to. Sometimes they call them clock vine seeds. My blue thunbergia was blooming like crazy this summer. I brought it into the house and it's been doing great. Not blooming but putting out new shoots.
Oscar1, check your email.
