I would love to trade! What are you looking for?

Gosh, I dont know. Do you have a trade list? Perhaps I have something else you need also. How about cassia alata or hibiscus manihot. I have alot of that.

rylaff,
what is does the seed look like? after mine bloom i get tons of red berry looking things on them but i've never saved any.
do they germinate easily? possible new hybrids or do they always bloom true?

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Those red berries are indeed the seeds. Even the seeds smell like ginger! They need to be soaked prior to planting and I use a moist peaty mixture to start. Takes 20-25 days. As far as I know they are true, but the only other ginger I have blooming by them at that time is the Pink V.

do you have to let them dry before harvesting? Or do you plant as soon as the berry is exposed? I've probably lost a gazillion seeds but i'll keep an eye out for them next year and harvest them.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I clean and dry mine after I take them off the plant. They are better when they are planted fresh.

Check email. right now!
