I have several varieties of Philodendron Vines which I find easy to maintain despite my busy lifestyle. Only one of these was labeled, so if you know the names of the other two I would appreciate you telling me.
Edited to say - #2 & #3 are probably pothos - the difference being the size of the vine plus other points I'm sure, so the whole thing is confusing to me. I would appreciate a "lecture" on the differenct between the two

#3 Unknown variety -
It is white, not Golden or I would think that this would be Golden Pothos http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/56204/

#1 I have as Satin Pothos...I don't know the Bot. name.
#2 I have as P. cardiophyllum 'something' mediopicta.
#3 Looks more like the Golden Pothos...which may be white due to environment or nutrition...don't know. Here they take on different shades of yellow/white and different leaf form when they st art to climb.

Thank you so much for the information and for taking the time to post.
Judy
#2 is "Brasil" Philodendron and it is my favorite of all...I love mine.

I think #3 is a Marble Queen Pothos. Nice plant! I also have #1, and I agree that it is a Satin Pothos.
We're getting some good information here. Strange that the folks that grow/market these plants have different opinions on the variety.
Scindapsus pictus-- Satin Pothos
Epipremnum aureum-- Pothos (Devil's Ivy)
Philodendron
I looked on the PlantFiles for these three plants and above are the scientific names I found when I searched for the common names. All three plants, if correctly identified above :), are in the same family, but each in a different genus. I couldn't find a species for the Philodendron. In this case, although they're all fairly closely related, only one is truly a Philodendron (which is also the name of its genus). Maybe that begins to explain how they're related? It was interesting for me to see, too, since I also have these plants or similar ones.
In reference to philos I've found the PF to be inaccurate also and had asked some of the "experts/more knowledgable amongst us" to assist in correcting the files but ....... I suppose our final conclusions will have to be verified by an outside source.
I have the #2 Brazilian Pothos and luv it. It's been growing like crazy and it roots easy.

Judy, I also have the silver philodendron and agree that it is that. I'm thinking that maybe the pic doesn't show up as well as it would IRL or something?
I definitely think the picture in the PF of Satin is what I have, problem is I don't know if the PF is correct or not. lol
How about #3? Does anyone have one of these?
Judy
well, according to the exotic angel folks it is called scindapsus picta, if that helps. ( I still have the tag from mine) so I guess what they call silver philo the rest of the world calls satin pothos? How strange cause they market a satin pothos as well, but it has no silver markings on it!

I have the Golden Pothos, which is similar to the #3 but not as variegated and creamy colored as the Marble Queen variety. A friend at work is rooting a branch of her Marble Queen for me. Have you looked up Marble Queen Pothos on PF (or on google or something if you don't trust PF)? I really think that is your #3.
Not to high-jack the thread, but did you ever get your neon pothos Danak?
Yes, I did, and it's doing great! I sure love the bright color.
Cool! Glad you got one. :-)
Hi!
I collect aroids.
#1 Scindapsus pictus argyraeus aka Satin Pothos... There is also a much larger version of this plant Scindapsus pictus 'Exotica' which is nice to add to your collection.
#2 Philodendron Oxycardinum Scandens Aurea Medio Picta aka in some circles as Philodendron Brazil (which is not the correct botanical name)
#3 Scindapsus aureus 'Marble Queen' same as the Golden Pothos only the variegation is creamy white instead of yellow. Two different plants all together. The Marble Queen is a new Scindapsus and much harder to find.
They look really healthy.
