Frozen Pie Crust - no need to thaw for a 2 crust pie
I posted this inquiry on the Cooking Questions Answered Thread
Solution Needed:
I have a package of two frozen pie crusts. I want to make one two-crust (pie filling in one the other the top crust). I don't want to wait until it's defrosted to pop it in the oven.
How do I get the "top crust" out of the tin pan so it can just be placed on the top of the other crust and put in the oven. I know you are suppose to seal the two crust together, but I opt not to do that, considering my time frame.
If the "top crust" is thawed hurriedly it melts the crust too much and it can't be handled, I already tried that.
Suggestions appreciated.

I'm always hurrying and wanting to do it "now". So I just filled the bottom frozen crust with filling, Mincemeat/Apple combo, which was probably a little too much for the pan but I didn't care. I then flipped the top crust including the pan over it. Popped it into the preheated oven and cooked. I found it took several minutes longer to cook but when the edges were all golden brown, I took it out of the oven and used a sharp knife to flip off the top pan. It still needed a little cooking so back in it went. This is the end result
