Hello from Eastern Washington State!

Kennewick, WA(Zone 6b)

Hello!
I am new around here and A member suggested that I say hi. HI!!!
Love to garden. Think about it all the time. That is what brought me to this site. I do not have any friends that share my passion so I would like to make some new ones! :)

I live between a hay and corn field on a five acre spot. Not the best ground but it is mine to make something of. I love trees (not many in this part of the world) and flowers. Just starting to get into vegetable gardening big time. Planted way too much for us to eat so I took most of it to the Farmers Market. Will be doing that this year as well, just going bigger. Maybe then I will be able to pay for my habit this year!

Have a great day!

Hi FlowerFan. My name is Shirley and I want to welcome you to Daves Garden. This is an awesome web site that can fill your needs where gardening is concerned. There are also a lot of other subjects covered here that may be of interest to you. I'm sure you will find yourself with so many friends here that you will be overwhelmed. Everyone is really friendly and some of the best in the world to consider friends. Sounds like you have the perfect spot to begin gardening, both veggie and flowers. I wish I had a bare spot to start out with. I'd sure do things a lot different. Again, welcome to Daves. Hope I'll see you around the forums from time to time.

Howdy, neighbor! I just 'met' ya in the Dave's Garden Forum so I thought I'd pop over here, too. :)

I'm currently planning my second veggie garden 'cause we had so much fun (and a lot of success) doing the first one, and the folks here on DG were so patient and helpful with all of my questions... like if I could grow Walla Walla onions here... *giggle*

(Could ya tell I've only lived in Spokane for 18 months?)

Looking forward to more of your postings,
Donna

Hello FlowerFan! So glad that you could join us at Dave's! I've lived in Eastern WA since 1972. Cold this year, huh?

Come check out the Brugmansia forum when you get a chance. I'm growing them now, thanks to this great site and the very nice people here that got me started.

Hi!
People are so nice here! I am a member of another gardening site and I love the info that I get from reading the posts but it is not as friendly.

We have lived in Moses Lake for 9 years. Before that we lived in Walla Walla. Is that where you are from? I love it there!!!

Hello FlowerFan, I'm in the same general climate as you are. Snowing here this morning, again. I've been to Moses Lake a lot of times, we have friends that live there. Not many trees! What an understatement! LOL No trees live there without lots of help. I'm glad you found Daves Garden, or as most of us call it, DG, you'll soon have lots of friends here and maybe gain some new addictions too. Happy ones. Most of us migrated over here from another gardening site. Happy gardening, see you around.

Thank you Donna!

My youngest daughter and I stayed up late watching a Disney movie and ate cream puffs. It was great.
