Fila for Me?

Look scary? Good. I need a dog that will keep some people at bay with just a glance. As well as one that can get tough when the time calls for it.

These guys have already won my heart- and I've never even met one in person.
Can get over 200 pounds- that's alot of doggy love! LOL

The caca is really hitting the fan around here lately- the thing with my sister was the last straw.
Does anyone here have a Fila, or have you owned one? I need all the stories and advice I can get.

These are expensive animals and I don't want to invest in a breed that isnt suited to our needs.
We have land for them to run and know how to handle "delicate" breeds, lol.
(They cost around 1500 to 2000 (or more) dollars from what I can gather.)



Wolves/Wolfdogs just arent typically suited as protectors- Tez was an exception to the "the rule". Right now we have no large dogs and I don't even feel safe going to sleep in my own bed anymore.
That and Tez and Dolly just were'nt happy in the Florida weather. :-(

I have contacted a breeder and am waiting on his reply. I know we can't afford it now- but I will save as much money as I can until we have enough.

I've even gone so far as to think about getting a loan to buy one- if that's even possible.

I wouldnt be turned off of a rescued Fila- just having a problem finding one! LOL
