I was wondering if plant cuttings from a pothos ivy can be shipped. I know plants can be sent, but can cuttings? I've never sent plants, and I haven't the slightest idea how. Can someone give me some basic rules. I read the trading primer, but I think it's written with the assuption that a person already knows what he/she's doing. I have nothing now for trade, but I thought maybe in the future I might want to get into the trading part of the site, but I need to know how, so I don't get anyone angry with me.
Trading and Shipping Questions
Cuttings are easy to send. Just wrap the cut end in damp(not wet, just damp) papertowel, wrap that in saran wrap or a baggie. I find it best to then wrap that in newspaper. You can wrap a few of the cuttings together in one newspaper, no need for a sheet for every cutting.
Some cuttings( Jade, some Euphobias,Epiphyllums) actually need calloused over before planting, they're even easier , just wrap in newspaper!
