....starts tonight on CBC TV! It's about time, I say. We have so much interesting history here.
The first episode is from Calgary. Did any of you hear about this, when they were filming their 2004 tour? I would have loved to dig something out of the basement (anything!) and go, even if it meant standing in line for hours.
The 2005 tour schedule should be out soon....if anyone is going to go when it comes to your town, let us all know so we can watch for you!

The Canadian Antiques Roadshow....
Shannon I've had the same reaction--what a hoot to go to one of those! But all MY "antiques" are saved for sentimental reasons and would be passed over in a flea market. We're watching the show tonight for sure.
You never know, Rosemary.... :-) A lot of things are of interest to others; not that you'd necessarily want to part with them, of course.
I love the reactions of the British folks....they're so reserved! And the American experts are very good at conveying lots of useful info. And the history lessons that you get from both shows....amazing. I can't wait to hear our version - may it run for years!!
I've heard about Valerie Pringle being the host for the show....peppy and full of P' and Vinegar! E
That's one way of describing her.
I'm looking forward to it. When I heard about the show I started wracking my brain trying to think what I have that might be interesting. The only thing I could come up with is an old Howdy Doody puppet.

Watched the show at 6 with dinner (by satellite)...can't wait for the next one, anyone know where it will be? My favourite was that gorgeous Japanese vase, with all the pots painted on it.
missed it - out riding my mare (and she was a very good girl tonite) will have to catch it on friday or as a repeat
I missed it to......I want to see that vase.
The vase was very nice. I thought the salt "thingy" (can't remember what they called it) (no, not a senior moment...I'm not old enough yet) was pretty neat too, with all the neat carvings. It's handy having Newsworld for catching later in the week what you missed earlier in the week on CBC.
Donna--where do you get all those neat images? And how did you do the notes?
oh good, i'm glad you asked because i've been wondering that for weeks but figured everyone but me knew the answer
Rosemary and Lynn, some of them are from a PSP group that I belong to and other are just copied and saved as pictures to "My documents" and then downloaded like a photo when I want it. You can find all kinds of free clipart to download (save) to your hard drive such as :

or

I also use "Incredimail" as my email program and they have a lot of animations and graphics in the program itself.
thanks Donna--useful links.
