Cool! Gig Harbor is about 1 1/2 hrs away near the coast (duh...harbor hehehehe) beautiful area as is so much here in the PNW.

My front yard is deep shade. It faces east and is shaded by an oak tree, and a red maple tree. The back yard has a little more sun, but not much because of a pecan tree. This is my first year to garden, and because of my shade, it is proving to be quite a challange.
Hmmmm.....I'll do a bit of research on what I have to offer and see if any are appropriate for your conditions.
Have you looked at the Shade Garden forum at all.....someone there might be able to suggest other plants for you too.

They are a very pale lavender (lilac) color...................
