I have a sweetheart hoya that seems to be healthy. However on one of the vines, it started turning black. I cut off the the dead, black part. The next day, it starts turning black where I cut it. What is happening? The black keeps on traveling down the vine. Today I cut it off past two leaves, where the black was approaching. Heather

OH YUCK! Never have heard of that...spots yes but not a creeping crud. I usually hit anything wierd with Tinactin aereosol...especially fungusy looking things. Can you contact your Extension Service and take in a sample?
