CLOSED: TEXAS SAGE;Leucophyllum source needed

Big Bear City, CA

I live part time in the High Dessert of California. Extreme temps of 0-100 degrees. This plant seems to be particularly well suited to this climate but I can't find one anywhere?

Any Texans out there? Please help.

The nurseries here carry it every year.....let me check their sources, they probably sell to nurseries in your area too and all you would need to do is request that your nursery special order it (normally they do not charge extra for this, but some take a down payment).

Monrovia grows it, and if your nursery there doesn't order from them very often try Azuza or Covina or another nearby community "down off the mountain".

El Nativo Growers grows 4 varieties (located in Azuza now sells to the public, see their home page). You can email either grower and they can tell you who they sell to close to you.

You may also want to check some of the mail order nurseries located in the Plant Scout tab above. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help... I did a goggle search and could not find a mail order. I am familiar with Monrovia and will also try your hyperlinks..

Thanks again,

I got this last fall from a Master Gardener's community sale. I didn't know it blooms. Haven't even found a place for it yet. It's still in the pot. I can try to start a couple of cuttings.
