Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

How long do you think it is going to be before I can plant my brugs outside? I took this 10 minutes ago.

Jeanette, you might want to wait for just a bit . . . my weather has been in the 70s (sorry).

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

now is you put a greenhouse over them, LOL

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

your pic is blue. are the blue men there?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

IHughes, don't brag too big, I hear the Canadian air is headed for us about next weekend. BRrrr These high 60's and 70's have been nice wish they'd stay longer but with you being in Columbia, maybe they won't reach that far..

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Looks like my place, about that amt & still coming down.
Guess we have to wait a few months Jeanette! LOL!
We must be sharing this storm!

Sherry, it is so white out there from all the snow that it comes out blue in the picture. Don't know any blue men. And yes, we are just the beginning of that Canadian air. It's in the teens and sub-zeros for about 2 weeks before it gets to you all. tehehehe

I hope you keep it there. We have enough on the ground now. LOL!

You know for all of our griping and groaning I think we really need the winter to rest up. Gardening is a lot of work. I don't think I could take a full year of it. Also, I think the winter makes us appreciate the rest of the year.

Jeanette, it also helps kill off some insects.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Sure wish it would kill off some here. For starters the mosquitos and fleas!! And those Texas size grasshoppers!!! I could go on an on but I would settle for the first 2. The grasshoppers I can step on.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Sandy, you don't stay cold enough for long enough to kill many insects.

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Hmmm, looks familiar Jnette. If we could just get this Arctic cold front (or as ahelms calls it "Canadian Air") to back off and head back north, maybe we could get some of this white stuff melted. Fingers crossed!

Donna, Ada was right though. It does kill off a lot of things bugs and some obnoxious weeds. When I was in Georgia they had, I think they were called Palmetto bugs that were 3 - 4 inches long. I can do without those. They even kill the fleas. And wild morning glory that has roots as big around as your little finger. and on , and on, and on

Hopefully by February here most of our winter will be over! I can't wait. I do not know how you guys live with all that snow. I remember having to go in it at 6 in the morning and having to scrape off the snow on my windows and shovel out the tires. It was cruel and unusual punishment.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell, You gotta be tough to live with it. Jeanette

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Makes me cold just to think about going out at 6 in the morning to scrape and shovel snow. LOL

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Well first you shovel the snow, 24" of it, then scrape the ice, then you keep sweeping the water away from the door

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

will be safe when you temps stay at 40 or above.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Here are the Blue Men, Jeanette!! They are a group, entertainers. Sorry the pic isn't so good...but aren't they the color of your snow, lol!

Yes, they are the same color Sherry. When I first looked at them I thought they were plumbers. Goes to show what living in the sticks does for you. LOL
