This poor leftover from last year gets redder by the day. It will be a beautiful Valentine I think Lol.
Am I Too Late?
Jan:
It's not late, just extremely early. LOL
Gosh, I sure wish we had move to SD as my husband wanted to a long time ago. I'd give anything for your growing conditions. Beautiful flowers. With several inches of snow (neighbor said 10 inches), those flowers would be a welcome sight instead of white.
Are you Poinsettias in an are that get artificial light at night, from a porch, street light, etc.? This will cause them to bloom late.
Chris
Chris the poinsetta gets no outside light. It was a Home depot sale plant last year and it was left to its own devices rather than forced this year. (Not to mention it received almost no care as I expected it to die any day.) It was also moved from a 4" pot to 5 gal which probably scared it to death lol. I was told that it would probably be more seasonable next year.
Brugie I was thinking the same thing, we got snow Sunday and today it is 3 degrees
Doris, it will get better soon. Tomorrow we are to be in the upper twenties and then moving in the thirties for two or three days. Maybe we can get rid of some of the ice.
Jan, it the Poinsettia going to make it until V. Day? Sure is a gorgeous red in your picture.
Absolutely! It should look like a real poinsettia by then. The ones planted in folks yards are quite beautiful now.
BRUGIE NO FAIR. we are having snow now, and supposed to continue through Sunday, I am soooo tired of this weather, the temp. did get up to 10
