What a gorgeous blue color! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I read that they rival jacaranda in bloom which is a pretty impressive feat. Isn't Bolusanthus native to Africa?

Brisbane, Australia

Yes I believe they are native to Africa.
Unfortunately, many beautiful species of plants arn't seen in this country.
I'm an Horticulturalist / Garden consultant and it frustrates me somewhat. Especially when you love plants so much.
The photograph taken was shot just outside of a very large shopping centre carpark, on a major road.
How it got there is anyones guess!

It's hard, sometimes, to find that balance between our love of beautiful exotics and protecting our own regional ecology. I'm constantly fighting the temptation... sometimes the temptation wins! :-)

Thanks, Herby, for this beautiful picture. I would love to have a wisteria .... I'm looking for a good, hardy N. American variety. There are a few out there but none with quite the spectacular blooms of yours. Thanks for posting this pic!

The pleasure is all mine Shannon.
