Zone question

Fredericton, NB(Zone 5a)

Happy New Year Everyone! (close enough)
I'm new to Dave's and am trying to find out if Canadian and US zones are the same. I'm in Fredericton, NB and according to Agriculture Canada my zone would be 5a. Is this what I would use on this site??
Thanks for the help.

Hi Joanne :D
A very Happy New Year to you as well and a BIG welcome to Dave's Garden and the Canadian Trading Forum!!!!....... (where sometimes trading really does happen).

I think you'll do fine using the zone Agriculture Canada has you listed in.....I'm pretty sure most of us here are using it.

I used to live in F'ton, '91-97. I lived out in Rusagonis, then on Hanwell road. I am a BC girl, but have fond memories of F'ton, and still have friends I keep in touch with. Welcome to Dave's Garden.

Hi Joanne. Welcome to Dave's Garden.

Fredericton, NB(Zone 5a)

Wow!! Thanks for the great welcome.
Roselaine, thanks for posting the site, that's where I got my zone from.
Another questions for you all ,what is usually traded, seeds or plants? and how exactly is this done? I've seen threads on it but cannot seem to find out how.
Thanks again,
Joanne
ps-if my posting are to the wrong thread/group I'm hoping someone will let me know :)

Oops! Guess I should have read a bit more, just a little over anxious. Found the info and primer on trading etc., Caulk it up to another Newbie on board.

Linda, I lived off of the Hanwell Rd. between '90 &'00, I'm sure we met in passing.
You wouldn't believe how much that area has built up withing the past 7 years.

Hi Joanne, welcome to DG and the Canadian Trading forum! AKA the Canadian chat forum, the Canadian picture-sharing forum, the Canadian weather commiseration/gloating forum, etc. :-) Like Lynn says, sometimes there's even some trading here! Glad to have you join us.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the email and the warm welcome. I've posted a blerb on the "New Members" forum.

I've been harvesting & growing my seeds for years, I hope I can get it together enough to do some traidng here.
Have a great day!
