Beautiful plant, photograh taken 28_12_2004 @ Larnach Castle Dunedin. Just emigrated to NZ from UK 3 months ago. NZ's native flora is amazing!

Dunedin is my home town Lived in N E Valley, then Collingwood, Next to Glenfallock Great place, great Botanical Gardens, As a child I would go there most weeks with my grandfather . he had been head Gardener at Chingford park N E V . there are some nice old trees there, although the old homestead is gone
Nice Pic of Pachystegia insignis Var rufa, Hope you put in the Plant Files ,as It is a great Pic of the whole plant .I have a very small pic of that waiting in the pending queue .So get that one in.
now I feel Home sick

Definitely like your home town. Visited the Botanic Gardens many times already - amazingly well kept and they label so many of their plants which is really helpful! Looking forward to living and working here. Intend to continue my career as a garden designer, but a detailed knowledge of UK garden plants is not enough when presented with the vast diversity of species both native and exotic which thrive here. Lots of homework to do!

I work at a garden center as well, always more to know , always more, thank goodness

Great photos, both old and new! Two of my clients have retired to New Zealand. Looks like a wonderful place. Please keep the photos coming. We get a few introductions from NZ here, but love what you are adding.
