Good Morning, Tamara.
And thank you for the wonderful trees! They're gorgeous and what a deal. We are so excited! We never could have gotten so many rare fruit trees without you!
Also your knowledge and willingness to help us is fantastic. I think you are going to see us alot !
Gratefully!

PS. Folks, she ships too! I mean fruit trees that you couldn't buy at the stores, not to mention the quality.

wonder if they would do a co-op on surplus trees?
I signed up for the news letter
I can't really get any now cause they'll freeze in shipping but I will get some in the spring

Actually we ship year around priority mail and we're trying something new.. hot packs they use for shipping lizards and such. I don't know if they will work or not. We wrap the trees in thick kraft paper then stuff newspaper in. Then it goes in a box. It's got to get pretty darn cold. Very sensative tropicals might get affected and if the post office can't read and leaves it on a porch in temps below 30, some might become damaged.

Crestedchik why don't you be our tester and let us ship you something this month with a hot pack and see how it fairs? I'd like to send something very sensative.

Citrus ships really well btw. Maybe a little leaf drop from changing temps but othewise does great!

Carol thank you. Keep me posted on how they do and where you plant them. Here's more info on Monstera deliciosa

I have one growing in my livingroom yet plan to get them growing in the trees around here. Where you live you can get a bunch growing. The fruit is truly wonderful. It's a very popular (so I'm told) drink in CA, Mexico, throw in a blender I guess. You have to wait until the skin starts falling/flaking off before eating it to or it will make you sick.

This spring we're hoping to get things set up better so we can host some garden parties. I'm sure I'll see you and Mike there.

Take care.

Not a good thing.....
I went back thru and made my shopping list....
Also a note to make the GH bigger....LOL

Not sure which ones would be the best to experiment with cold sensitive

I figure I can get 1 or 2 now and see how they do shipping

here's my list ,tried to pick things I thought could do alright in containers,I have lemons and limes in the GH right now,and an orange ,infact I have a HUGE ponderosa lemon on my one tree.....hope the thing ripens soon...LOL

I didn't see any grapefruit,my DH would love one of those.I had one for years but I forgot to get it in on time one year and the thing died back to the graft.I brought it in and it came back from the root stock and is now taller than me.The only reason I kept it is I hope to someday graft something to it,if I ever get the guts up to try it....LOL

Blood Orange
Guava
Kumquat
Barbados Tropical Cherry
Cherry of the Rio Grande
Dragon Fruit
Dwarf Julie Mango
Brazilian Cherry
Jaboticaba
Lychee
Soursop
Cacao
Dwarf Papaya

as you can see I can't afford them all now....LOL
Plus I can only fit so much in the GH right now(its a little crowded)
If there are things on the list that are not suitable for containers please let me know.....
Pick one or 2 things that you'd think would make good test subjects
I'll pay you for them and shipping and go from there
I'm skeptical about them making it,but I'm all for expanding shipping capabilities.
have I mentioned it sometimes gets to -28 here?
My mail person will not leave plants out
She leaves a note in the mailbox for us to come up and get them if we are not home.
My DH is home on Thursdays-Saturday
So maybe shoot for delivery on those days

Clewiston, FL(Zone 9b)

That's a nice list for sure. I'm not worried about citrus so lets try maybe one of the tropical fruit trees. I'm getting a new shipment in this week so it will be next week. I don't want you to pay for the tree and shipping. I'll pay for the shipping, you pay for the tree. If it burns up with the heat pack I'll send you another this spring. If it doesn't you'll have a great tree and we can keep on shipping through rain, snow and more. We survived FOUR hurricanes, we're up for most any challenge!

Please drop me a line. I don't know if I can put my email here. Carol put my link so just go there and email me.
