Anybody here like scented geraniums

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Is there anybody here who has a collection of scented geraniums? This spring i'm going to be purchasing some, wanted to find someone to trade with instead of trying to purchase them .

I have received a few cuttings this past fall and have some
I want to set up some spring trades for scented geraniums if anybody is feeling up to it.

here's the ones I have rooted, I don't have to have rooted ones in return, I can also do cuttings of them too

chocolate mint
apricot
snowflake rose
nutmeg
I have a fancy leaved one called platinum I have rooted cuttings of it too

I have a few others that are just rootd cuttings, but don't need any more of that particular kind
let me know if you like scented geraniums. and have a collection of them, I had over 50 of them last winter, but most died , I didn't have a good place to winter them over, and now I do, and those 4 above are thriving in the greenhouse now, I've taken cuttings off them about 5 times now.

If you don't have scented geraniums I'm also looking for named begonias too.

Love the scented geraniums! Don't have any right now - plan to get a couple in the spring again. Maybe we can switch cuttings then?

Me too, Kooger. However, the Lime scented geranium is flourishing under rather beastly conditions that killed the rest, so I could offer cuttings of that to you two in the spring.

Also would like to purchase a couple more scented geraniums in spring and possibly trade with you two, if possible. I have some cuttings rooting nicely of blue creeping torenia and Salvia 'Purple Majesty." I am currently developing my trade list and hope I might have something you two would like...anything besides named begonias?

Where are yall going to buy your scenteds from this spring, got any ideas? I bought some last year, and they were really nice, and I can't for the life of me remember where I got them, but they had tons of them. I saw Hobbs farm the other day, Well, I was at the web site LOL I thought they were 3.50 ea but now their 4.50 and 4.95 don't know if I saw them at another web site for 3.50 or if they actually went up on their prices with in the last time I visited them just a few days ago. I've been dreaming . I sure wish I could find the place I bought them from last year.

There's a small greenhouse down the road that carries about a half dozen plants. Care to join me browsing?

You'll have to let me knwo which ones they carry when you go there next, I might want to send you some money to get me some LOL

oooh, scented geraniums, one of my favorite plants! I currently have nice specimens of both'Chocolate Mint' and 'Attar of Roses' (which smells simply amazing). Both tend to get big & sprawling unless you pinch them back regularly, but they make my morning room smell sooo good. Other varieties that I've had in the past and would love to grow again are 'Lime', 'Cody's Nutmeg', and 'Cinnamon'. That 'Apricot' sounds wonderful, too.

I have a couple of cuttings of 'Attar of Roses' that are potted up & growning well, and I'll see if I can get some of both started between now & spring.

Also, I have a nice angelwing begonia, but I don't know its name. There's a picture in the PlantFiles that looks identical to mine. I emailed the person who added it, only to discover she doesn't know its name, but she got it from another DGer. So I emailed that person, but no response so far. I'll post a picture of it here anyway, maybe Kathy will recognize it!

I've received tons of scented geraniums aleady in a trade, I don't know where i'd put any more of them, LOL, I better not take in any more .

nope, that's not my angelwing begonia, as mine has coral-red flowers. Thanks, though, and LMK if yours needs a friend....

So, I guess Kathy is out of the loop now, but the rest of us should certainly revive this thread in spring and swap some rooted cuttings! And Kathy knows who to contact if she runs out of room for her "tons" of geraniums..... LOL

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

yep, I sure do, I was in a trade recently, and acquired abut l7 varieties of scented geraniums, I'm blessed now, LOL, their all doing great, so maybe I can do some trading soon enough
