HELP!!!

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

All of the lower leaves on my Episcia Chocolate Soldier turned papery and had to be removed, and now it appears that of the other leaves are drying out, too! I just repotted it into a larger pot thinking that may have been the problem, but I'm totally freaked now!

Does anyone have any suggestions to save my baby?

Hi,
Try putting it in a humid environment, like a clear plastic box or terrarium or a puffed up plastic bag. Try not to let the leaves touch the sides of the container. Place it in a warm spot with some light. Be careful not to over water it as it's now in a bigger pot (that means the roots aren't spreading out throughout the pot, so the soil will stay wet longer).

You could also pin down the stolon (the little "plantlet" on a runner) onto the soil of another pot so that it will root.

Good luck.

Thank you! I will try all of the above!

Hi, again. Things have not improved, but they haven't gtten worse either, so I'm not totally freaked. The little plantlet doesn't seem interested in rooting either - how long does itusually take that process to get started?
