At the moment, it is about 10 degrees here in the Panhandle. We have had over 6 inches of snow just before this last cold spell hit, so it hasn't melted much. We had about 2-3 inches on the ground when I took this photo. This tree is at the corner of two roads at our place. It was the first live Christmas tree from our first Christmas here in Fritch, in 1983. The tree seems to like the snow, and not mind the cold much...
I'm.... Dreaming of a .. White.......Christmas
I hope your plants survive! :^(

At 4:30 am it was 26. We have 2 inches of snow and everything was coated with a thin layer of ice because we had rain before it snowed and the rain froze as soon as touched the leaves. The limit of cold tolerance of many of my palms is 28*F according to a tree growing guide put out by Southmost College here in Brownsville. It may be a while before I really know what made it and what didn't. I don't know how long it was 26*F.
I am sure the wind chill would have a lot to do with that too. Keep me posted.
Interesting, the weather has done phenomenal things this year to our plants and crops.
Warmed up here today, will post pics of snowball fights with the kids later...
