Looks to me like your PB is way to small to go in a 1 gal pot.
Over potting increases the likelihood of losing them from root rot. More brugs die from root rot than anything else.JMO

Would you keep them out until they get a little bigger, or put them in a 4" pot and size up as we go along? Also, can they go in a pot together, or should I put them each in a solo pot?

Thanks for your help!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Check your Jessie Noel with a magnifying glass to see if anything is moving on backs of leaves. It is a magnet for spidermites. I pot my rooted cuttings in a 4" pot them move up when they get too big for that. This seems to give them a jump start and they grow better.

4" pots are the size most people use.

Potting individually is best just in case you have a virus breakout.

By Spring they should be ready to pot up to the gallons , or into the ground if your situation allows.

You'll know if they need a bigger pot just like you check any other plant. Dries out quickly and if you up-end it the pot is full of roots.

Hi-biscus, how are ya ?

Trying something else for mites this year. I spray the plant room every 10 to 14 days with the flying insect spray cans we use in the barns.

So far ---- So good .--- ''Knock wood''

Scooterbug, that sounds interesting. What is it? Jeanette

Here's the link. We've used this formula for many years as it is safe around people , animals & food stuffs.

one can goes a long way. I get it at a farm supply store locally.(Farm & Fleet)

Hi-scoot. We are covered in snow, 9". Supposed to be -11 tomorrow.........

I use Raid to spray off and on in wintertime. Do NOT spray right on the plants, do NOTsaturate them or they will be dead! I spray up over plants and let spray fall down. Sometimes I spray up under leaves if I see spidermites.

Happy brug growing. Merry Christmas to all.

kell, have 6 of your seedlings just into 4" pot. They are doing well and look like a good start to spring. Thank you for your generosity and Merry Christmas.

Yeah , what Hibiscus said ... only fog the area .

Raid will work in a pinch but you need to spray so much of it to get the same amount of pyrytherins in the air the stink would make me barf.
Until a couple years ago you could only buy it of you had a Dairy/Hog farm tax no. It goes for $12 a can.

Oops = I just realized I made an error - the Jamaican cross was from Gingerlily!

Thanks to everyone who sent me their babies - I will do my best to make you proud!

Can I set that bomb off in the GH?

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

cc , It isnt a bomb, just a spray can like all other brands but much stronger.

It will do the job if you start at the back of the GH spraying upward , back & forth as you walk backwards out of the GH and close the door.

The main idea is to prevent infestation before it starts.

You can use Raid or such but it is less efficient , IMO
