My 'Nikko Blue' is pink also. I was told that it is caused by something lacking in the soil is why they turn pink.

I think our soil is too sweet or not acid enough. It has to very acid to have it turn blue. The soil needs aluminum sulfate added to it and then I guess it is a very touchy procedure. I like my pink just fine.

Me to. Pink is a nice color.

From what I understand, pink hydrangeas are because of a lack of aluminun in from the soil. It could be due to an abundance of phosphorus in the soil that inhibits the plants ability to soak up aluminum. To take it back to blue add either aluminum sulfate or organic matter such as coffee grounds, fruit and veggie peels, grass clippings, etc... a balance will produce purple blooms. Here is a great little article written about changing the colors of your blooms.
