For the past few days this is what I've been up to, and why I've been scarce around these parts LOL! My back and I wish I was finished...Maybe tomorrow :)
I miss y'all!
Yummy! So pretty. Don't eat them all.........
Gretchen, they are too pretty too eat. lol My kids were reminiscing the other night about all the cookies and candies I used to make at Christmas. I think they were hinting, but I told them it was their turn.
Let's all go to Gretchen's house...
Mmmmmmmm I haven't started yet. Going to wednesday night when Trish is here to help me.
They good so good, Gretchen. I haven't baked any because i know I'd eat them. LOL
Oh my...they are sooooooo good -- this particular variety is Butter Spritz. My Mother bought me a battery powered press last year. I've made so many cookies of various varieties in the past few days, I won't even think of getting on the scales until January 1st! I will tell you that my waist band is snug!!! Well, we're off with a batch of these to go to a new neighbors First Annual Caroling around the Campfire. I guess there will be other families from our street, so it should be fun :)
I hope everyone has a lovely, blessed evening!
Have fun, Gretchen.
Gretchen ... those look so yummy.
Gretchen, is there anything you can't do???? Wow, am I ever impressed!! I sincerely admire and appreciate your talents and that you share your interests with us...
Delicious, Gretchen! I sure hope your back feels better. Back pain is just a terrible thing to live with. I'll be thinking about you. Have a wonderful holiday.
Gretchen, you sure have a lot of energy. Your cookies look great. I'm sure that everyone who gets to enjoy them will appreciate all the time you spent making them. Hope your back gets to feeling better soon. It won't be long before it will be time to start peeling potatoes. LOL! That's the one that kills my back.

Those look yummie!
Heck...I just gained 5 pounds looking at that picture!!!
yum! I haven't been around as much either. too much going on.
doctor today - still in limbo - they found something wrong with my wrist, lol, which doesn't even hurts, just falls asleep - big whoopdie doo - I can live with that.
They are starting a vigorous physical therapy plan for me and pumping me up with vitamins. After two months, if not better then they will do a c scan. It is extremely hard to tell professionals how much pain you are in unless you act like those fakes holding themselves from the floor "faking" pain. Those jerks really blow it for the ones really having it - and messing up research as well.
Sorry! Let's put this on a brighter note. I shouldn't be so pre-occupied. BAD day I guess. I promise to be nice tomorrow. I need some Christmas music.....Join me.
(pick your choice of singer)
Have yourself a merry little Christmas..................... (one of my favorites)
Hope you feel better Karrie!
Gretchen, I have been trying to get Brugie to send me some of her Christmas cookies all week to no avail. I will now switch to you! I hope you are more of a softie. LOL. They looks so good I think you were cruel to post that picture.

I want some Christmas cookies right now and it's all your fault Gretchen! :)
They look great Gretchen!
making my mouth water.... bet they're the kind that dissolve in your mouth....are they?
Gosh they sure do bring back memories. I had weight loss surgery so they're off my list but it is still a pleasure looking at them.
Jan...
Kaufman: My address is listed. LOL
I baked chocolate chip cookies last night, and plan on making some fudge and another kind of candy today along with some banana nut bread. That will be about my limit.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS YEAR SPECIAL. I have received alot of seeds and cuttings, and this will be my very first summer with Brugmansias. I think I have even learned how to spell it.
Linda
Gretchen, such lovely yummy cookies. I made various kinds of candy, and gave most away. Shouldn't have eaten any, but you know one has to taste to be sure okay!!!!! Hope your back is better soon.
Karrie, hope you are better soon. Happy Holidays to all. Donna
Gretchen...your cookies look delicious! I would love to have your recipe! My youngest daughter and I make them also, but with a recipe from a book. Do you put egg or something on them before adding the sprinkles?
On Sat. we baked about 4 hours, plus I baked alone on 3 other days. We always make alot of Christmas cookies...and although I shouldn't...I have to admit I do eat them too! It is part of the fun of the holidays!!! And Gretchen, I hope your back is better today!
Karrie...I hope your doctors are able to find out why you are having your pain and will treat it. No fun having pain. Hang in there.
Thank you all so much -- the back is much better today. Just a little stiff and sore from standing on ceramic tiles for what seems like days on end... Today is my last day until DH's kids get here. His youngest son is quite a cook and will probably want to make some more LOL!
Margie -- these are from a recipe in the "Secrets of the Southern Living Test Kitchen". Its full of wonderful recipes. If you don't have it, I'll post it here later. And yes, you brush on a little egg white before you add the sprinkles so they'll stick to the cookies.
Pebble -- they don't exactly dissolve, but they kind of melt in your mouth from all that yummy butter.
Donna -- who can make Christmas cookies and not indulge? Not I!!!
Kell -- If I thought they would still be edible by the time they got to you, I would...
Karrie -- feel better!
I hope all of you are having a wonderful, blessed day!!!
They look delicious, Gretchen. Glad your back is feeling better.
Happy holidays!
~Angela
Boo Whooo Gretchen!
Gretchen, you and Lanny make great looking cookies! You could make a very difficult puzzle out of that photo! Joelle
Oh Kell...surely someone in your immediate reach makes great Christmas cookies :)
Joelle -- she's never far from my feet when I'm in the kitchen. All it takes is the sound of the refrigerator door to have her wide awake and at full attention LOL!
Angela -- thank you. All done for now and the house is back to normal, well as normal as it can be this time of year...
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!
And, don't forget to post your pix on the new photo thread :)
